We are wedding specialists and have played everything from formal wedding receptions at the Ritz Carlton, to beach weddings -- literally on the sand in Sarasota, so we can tailor a plan for your wedding.
You can appreciate how the right band either makes or breaks an event and how important it is to hire a band that knows the wedding reception and ceremony territory well. The Knot magazine does a Best of Weddings issue each year and we were named "Best Wedding Reception Band 2010" in West Florida and we again for 2011. We are also Wedding Wire rated. We know how to PRODUCE the show for the entire evening. We usually start out with some lighter, acoustic-oriented music and then segue to dance music, and the place gets very FUN. We play everything from Elvis to Lady Gaga and we get hired most often for our ability to please a crowd of all ages. From 60's to today -- we got 'em covered. We strong 80s and 90s with killer Journey, Bon Jovi, as well as Top 40 hit dances songs from artists like Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, and even Kings of Leon. What we play is hit music that people LOVE to dance to.
Very few bands have a five-star rating on the Gigmasters site, and with 50 testimonials, no one has a longer list of satisfied customers than we do. We have Bose Professional Sound, full lights, and even a DJ machine for break music. We have a professional announcer in the band so we do all your MC work. The bottom line is when you hire us for your reception the band is one less thing you will have to worry about. And, of course, our Band Coordinator will make sure all your special dances and events happen on schedule so you can RELAX and enjoy the evening. Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
What is your band's usual attire?
We dress according to the occasion. Most weddings we are in a more formal look with black outfits but some custom colors for the front people. For more informal occasions we dress accordingly.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
Yes. We have both video and audio samples
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Yes. Up to two per occasion as long as they fit our instrumentation and vocal range. We also have a DJ rig so we can run any song on mp3 during the show or during breaks. We produce the evening so it is seamless.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
2-2 1/2 hours. We have top of the line equipment and a light show so setting up takes some time, but it's worth it!
How much space do you usually require?
It varies. We have played many small spaces. 12' X 16' is ideal.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
It depends. Not at more formal events like weddings, usually. For some others, we do.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have pro LED lighting rigs. Wireless mics for presenters and toasts. DJ rig for break or dinner music.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
Yes. We have a professional announcer in the band so we do all the emcee work you desire.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Our female lead singer is very good at going into the crowd and getting people up and dancing. It's usually not a problem with us though!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
One break per hour. 15 minutes. But, we vary that if the dance floor is really humming at the moment.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes. We have a big library. You can also choose your own.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?
We have back up musicians for all our positions.
What is your overtime rate?
It depends on the contract terms. Usually we stay longer when requested and people take care of us with a tip.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We build that into our quotes.
