How much time do you usually need for setup?
We ask for access 3 hours prior to the start of the event. We can work with less, if necessary.
How much space do you usually require?
This depends on which version of the band was hired. Stage footprint is commonly either 16' x 24' for larger bands and 12' x 16' for smaller bands.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No. The stage is cleanly dressed, with no signs or banners.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
All packages include stage lighting and a high end sound system capable of covering crowd sizes up to 500 people indoors, and 300 people outdoors. The system is very well maintained and all packages include a dedicated sound engineer so every event sounds perfectly balanced.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
We MC all traditions the bride wishes to observe. There is no dead air between songs...we keep the dance floor moving.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
It's frankly never happened. We are typically told that far more people danced than the client ever expected. We've filled the dance floor at 100% of the hundreds of weddings we've performed.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
BREAKS: On average, at least 45 minutes out of every 60 include performance. We usually only take two breaks, and one of those is usually filled with cake cutting and toasts (sound man and band leader stay back to cue mics and MC). There is no dead air once the event begins.
MEALS: As the band is typically on site 8 to 10 hours, including setup, breakdown, and the full event itself, we do ask for a meal.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes, we will play premixed CDs during the breaks. We can also add a DJ to the show to handle requests and keep the party going when the band is not performing.
What is your overtime rate?
Pro-rated, and billed in half hour increments. Standard packages include up to a 4 hour performance window.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Metro Atlanta has no additional fees. Out of town costs are calculated on a case by case basis. Factors include distance from Atlanta, number of hotel rooms (if needed), etc.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
A 50% down payment locks the date. The balance is due shortly before the wedding.
