Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Describe your DJ style: We customize our DJ style to meet the needs of our clients. We can be energetic and upbeat or laid back and relaxing.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested? There is no limit to music that can be requested. Any MUST HAVE special requests are always discussed prior to the event so that we can garantee we have all music needed.
What is your usual attire? Our attire ranges from business casual to tuxedo. This is a decision that the client makes in the planning stages.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it? If we do not have a song that is pre-requested by the client, we will make every effort available to get the song. We do not mind to buy songs for a client's special day.
How many other DJs do you work with? We currently have two full time DJ's that cover most of our events. There are times during peak season that we use trusted and experienced DJ's to handle events. There are never any surprises. If a DJ must be called in to handle an event the client will be notified before booking takes place.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for? We have performed for events that last no longer than one hour. We set our prices accordingly and negotiate with our clients the best deal possible. However, most events last 3-4 hours.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking? We never charge for consultations or planning sessions. We are always pleased to meet with potential clients.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events? We do offer some merengue and latin music but our strengths really lie within the spectrum of U.S. and North American genres.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list? We do accept do-not-play lists. We have found that many guests will most likely request songs that are on the do-not-play list but we politely let them know that those songs are not "allowed."
Do you bring your own equipment? We do bring our own equipment. We own various size speakers, amplifiers, microphones as well as specialized lighting equipment.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? Our wedding packages and school dance (excluding prom) packages include four dance floor lighting effects that add that special touch and atmosphere to venue. Our Prom Package includes eight dance floor lighting effects due to the common large number of guests.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on? We do have our own tables, however if you have a table that you would like decorated to match the rest of the venue we would prefer to use your pre decorated table. We are flexible to meet your needs.
Do you have any extra space requirements? We do not require much space. We need room for a light stand, two speaker stands, table, and walking area around the area. We do recommend that the dance floor be located near the DJ set up.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? We do not use a banner at events because we believe that your event should not be tainted by advertisement. We believe that our focus should be on your event and not "drumming up more business." If someone asks for a business card, we will gladly give one out of respect.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs? As the DJ of your event or reception we believe that we are not only the DJ but also the master of ceremonies. We will help guide you through the various activities that are part of a reception. We will make announcements and reminders throughout the event. We can customize how much direction you would like in the planning stages of your event.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? Every crowd is different. Everyone reacts differently to various song selections. Sometimes switching up genres and songs helps and other times it takes playing a popular dance favorite to motivate the crowd to dance.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? We do not require a meal be provided but it is customary for clients to offer a meal to the DJ. If a meal is provided, you can be garanteed that our services will not be interrupted. All of these details will be discussed in the planning stages.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks? We use digital DJ technology on laptops that organize all of our music and playlists. Our DJ software has the ability to "automix" music without any interaction from the DJ, therefore anytime we need to direct our attention to a guest, there is no chance of the music ever stopping.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? As a DJ company that has been around since 2004, we have developed several contacts and colleagues that are willing to step in, in case of emergencies. If this situation occurs, your event will be covered and the replacement will be paid for by us.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? We often book more than one event a day during peak season.
What is your overtime rate? Our overtime rate is $50 per hour and will be discussed in the planning sessions.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? We do not charge for travel expenses. If an event is out of our region we will refer you to a known colleague that make cover the area.
What is the required deposit to secure your services? To secure dates and services, we require a completed signed contract and a non-refundable $100 deposit.
