Ceremony Music
Description:
Heeeeyyyyy you're getting married! Sweet!
My name is Heather Hightower and I sing. Sometimes, you're going to want to have someone from your family sing that special song in your wedding ceremony. And sometimes, if you're getting married in the church, you might want to just go with whomever the music director chooses for you (that's how I got into this industry). But SOMETIMES you're going to want to depend on someone who's done this a bunch, cares deeply about your musical and emotional experience during your ceremony, can guide you with musical choices if you need it, and who has got your spiritual back.
[Enter Heather, Stage Left]
I've been performing for over 15 years, with many, many weddings included. My training is classical - I'm a soprano, (I have a higher voice), which means Mozart or Bach are my boys. I have a serious soft spot for pop music, which means that I will try to contain my glee when you request something contemporary.
Some couples just bring me in as an addition to other contracted performers (organist, string quartet, or other instrumental combination), and I can also put together the ensembles if necessary. I arrange multiple voices, too, if you, too, find sweet divinity in the sound of voices weaving new webs of sound together.
Take a listen to some of my song samples - you'll get a feel for my voice and if I'm your vibe. Some people have said to me, "Wow, I've never thought of including a singer in my ceremony!" The human voice adds an incredibly personal touch, which can be incredibly moving for both you and your guests. That's what I do. So if you're into that, holler.
When you contact me, let me know if you have a particular song in mind or if you want me to walk you through the 101 of ceremony music. Both are perfect.
