Yet each wedding is still a unique and exciting celebration for us! We live for wedding days! Our dominant style of wedding photography is ART FOCUSED STORYTELLING. However, we know that every Bride and Groom have their must have set of formal traditional portraits! Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? We can do B&W & sepia toning. We use a variety photo-enhancing techniques to be sure the full emotion of the moment is expressed in our art. We will direct our artistic techniques to the desires of our clients.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? Using and controlling light is what a professional photographer does! We are prepared to delivery you quality art regardless of light challenges! We use multiple slave strobes to create shadows that give 3 dimensional form to images.
Is your media preference film or digital? We have been digital since 2003.
How many photographers do you work with? We are a wife and husband team. This assure you that you have full coverage at all times. The bride and groom dressing are often very important moments of your wedding day.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? We do not contract out our events. Herb & Betty are the photographers for all events!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend? We do not book multiple events in one day. On your day we are committed to you!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? Yes, we belong to several local professional photographer associations and have a number of photographers from whom we could request assistance. But this has never happened in over 10 years in business.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of? Multiple cameras (Backups!), tripods, lens, strobes ... umbrellas ... . BRIDE'S DISASTER RECOVERY CHEST with pins, tape, scissors, glue, aspirin, markers, bandages, mouthwash, deodorant, etc... We come prepared for the unexpected.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction? All the time! We come with sufficient backup equipment (cameras, lens, flashes, etc.) to assure you that we can cover your wedding.
Do you charge hourly or full day? Hourly. But we put custom discounted package together based on the needs of the couple.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours? Yes - $225/hour for 2 photographers
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? If we are eating, we are missing moments ... Of course we need short breaks but we keep them to a minimum. With 2 photographers one is always ready for the unexpected. ... We do carry our own snacks. But we have a weak spot for great cake and appreciate being offer a piece ...
Do you charge for travel? Not within the DFW Metroplex. We charge travel expenses for destination weddings.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? Proof images are usually available in 2 to 3 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered? Proofs are available for online viewing. Printed proof are available from web site.
How long can the client keep the proofs? Proofs (printed from web site or on DVD) are yours forever!
Do you retain the copyright for the photos? We give you a limited license to make copies of the images for the personal pleasure of family & friends. We retain all other rights.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes. We often put sneak preview on facebook. This is a negotiable issue depending on the desires of our clients.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client? Yes - about .07 to 1.5 MB jpg images
Will images be available for viewing online? As a service to clients, their friends & family, we upload their images to a photo finisher.
What kind of albums do you offer? We use a variety of albums, including GraphiStudio (Italy). We will work within the budget of our clients.
When will the client get the final album? We offer a very wide range of albums. Production time varies with the number of images, pages and specific choice of albums. In general deliver can be from 4 to 10 weeks from the time the couple selects their images. One of our albums is produced in Italy and they require a longer time for production.
