What is your band's usual attire? We wear dress clothes (black) for formals, western wear for country settings, and stage clothes for dance venues.

How much time do you usually need for setup? 2 hour set up and sound check. 1 hour breakdown

How much space do you usually require? 14 x 8

Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? We have 2 professional stage signs and a large banner for country venues.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? We use a LED Chauvet light system and cans. We can also rent a disco ball or smoke machine upon request.

Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs? Our 2x Grammy Winner will gladly emcee your event. We will ask you if it is okay to engage your guest in playing the tambourine, sing a song, or make announcements on your behalf. Gunpowder Soup can play music without any talk between songs. On our last set, we play continuous music for 1 hour and 30 minutes- 2 hours.

How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? We will engage people by getting people on the floor for a game we will start. Our front man will also get on the floor and engage people to dance, or bang a cowbell. We also start a dance with one of the songs we perform.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? We do request dinner for the band (4-5 players). We take 20 minutes for dinner and then another 10 break for the middle set.

Do you play recorded music during your break? Yes, we play recorded music on our high tech sound system. We will decide which music the crowd is more engaged, or you can lend us your IPOD full of music you prefer. We can also DJ some club dance songs!

If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan? Once the contract is signed, we will be there. We have many musicians at our request. Marius, the owner, runs a recording studio in San Antonio, so we know many great studio musicians. We have NEVER missed a gig with our full time members!

What is your overtime rate? $300 and hour

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? We charge for hotel rooms (3) and gas. When you call us, we can work on details that work best for both parties.
