What is your band's usual attire?
Completely flexible to the theme of the event. Tuxedos, White dinner jackets, black shirt/pants with ties, even down to casualwear, etc:
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
Yes. All of our audio demos are not only on our website, but we can provide a physical CD as well upon request.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Absolutely.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
Typically 60-90 minutes.
How much space do you usually require?
We can fit in almost any space, though our comfortable preference is about 8x20.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
Yes, but it does not require attachment to a venue wall as it attaches to our own equipment.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We bring dance floor lighting and band illumination at no extra charge.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
We offer full emcee duties for the event for whatever is needed; announcements/toasts, cake cutting, bouquet/garter, etc: And for Jewish Weddings we handle coordinating Motzi and Kiddush as well.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
We read the crowd and change the music accordingly. Because of our repertoire, we are able to quickly change the pace of the music. For example, slowing things down for a song or two allows people who don't normally like to dance to do so with a partner. Then you can go back to dance music once they are there. Also, we engage the crowd directly , and can even work in a group dance song like the Cupid Shuffle; which most everyone does.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
In a 4 hour engagement, we typically take 2 breaks though that is flexible depending on the needs of the client and needed emcee duties. Meals are not required but are certainly appreciated.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes, but not like other bands! We offer our "in-break DJ service" where we keep the dance floor hopping during breaks, and can even take requests as a regular DJ does.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?
We have substitute players that can fill in.
What is your overtime rate?
$100 /hr negotiable.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Travel is built into the price.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
25%, Non-refundable. However if the client cancels within a certain timeframe, we would apply the deposit to a future date.
