Description: What makes Ben & Bella Wedding Portraits so very special? First and foremost is our desire to create wedding portraits for you which capture authentic expressions of your character and personality as a couple. We truly desire to create the finest portraits, heirlooms, which will capture and preserve your memories for a lifetime. Careful planning is just one of the differences which separates the work of Ben & Bella from that of other wedding photographers. We spend time with you before, during, and after the photography; planning everything to help you learn what is most complementary for your wedding portraits to be created. Our clients find this planning time very helpful. To provide you with the highest quality photography we provide a complimentary design consultation. This where we get together to discuss your wishes in developing your unique style and feel. Well talk about what poses you would like best (conservative, fashionable), and other specifics of your wedding, and answer any questions you might have. For us, this is how we get to know you, how we are able to see in you what you want to reveal to the world&.and preserve forever. Our personal commitment is another reason that your portraits are so beautiful. It is that careful, loving touch that separates Ben & Bella from the rest. Our enthusiasm, sincerity, and true desire to create beautiful wedding portraits can be found in very few photographic artists today. We are a FINE ART Studio¬ a rushed, high volume studio. Beautiful Portraits dont just happen&they are meticulously created! www.BenandBellaPhotography.com Creative_Staff@BenandBellaPhotography.com (704) 699-0679

Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
What primary photographic style do you identify with? Contemporary, Photojournalism, Portraiture, Traditional / Posed
What do your packages include? Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Matted Prints, Prints, Proof CD of All Images, Thank You Cards, Video Montage
Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning? We preselect the best images on your wedding day to provide our clients with a selection of our personal favorites, and give these our utmost attention and our special artistic treatments (i.e. retouching, editing and artistic rendering on an individual basis). Our studio uses the best Photoshop actions and plug-ins available and we keep our library current when improved versions arrive on the market. In addition we hand select images and give them our personal branded artistic touch giving our images a unique and distinctive appearance including black & whites too or course. We will offer suggestions, but your wish is our command; you can have any image toned anyway you desire.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations? Absolutely, we are experts in all types of lighting equipment. We use professional equipment including Elinchrom & Quantum lighting and battery backups. Beautiful Portraits dont just happen&.They are Meticulously Created. Beautiful photographs are always a byproduct of generating or capturing beautiful light and shadows. We explore everything from natural light to studio strobes to video light, adapting each to the situation of your venue, your wedding and your style.
Is your media preference film or digital? All of our photographers shoot digital exclusively¬ to say that we dont miss some nostalgic aspects of film photography, but digital certainly works best for us.
How many photographers do you work with? All of our clients have the option to choose one, two or several photographers and aspiring photographers (assistants) who can be an invaluable resource.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event? Yes, I will be the lead photographer at your wedding. In addition, for those cases where we have not shot at the venue previously, we will often arrange a separate visit beforehand to evaluate the venue and the opportunities...and challenges&it presents.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend? Never&. We exclusively book one wedding a day allowing the couple to have my/our full and undivided attention and talents.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event? Yes, I have three. I have never been forced to use a replacement photographer; however, I trust the other photographers who shoot with my studio implicitly to do a superb job.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of? To begin with we use only professional Digital SLR cameras. We prefer Canon&its our personal preference. We shoot with very fast professional glass (photographer terminology&) meaning we can shoot in low lighting conditions or can shoot wide open to create very shallow depth of field which makes the subject 'pop' against a smooth background. Some of our equipment you may not see, as we arrange to keep it out of sight until needed. If a special lighting situation arises we may choose to use a reflector or diffuser, gobo, scrim, stand etc. allowing for those wonderful impromptu images to be professionally captured. We consider it imperative to be prepared for many lighting and photographic challenges, and to also have sufficient backup in the event of equipment failure.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction? Absolutely! I generally have two or three professional camera bodies on, or near me, during the event to reduce lens changes and also to provide redundancy should a camera body malfunction. Having backup equipment is an absolute must!
Do you charge hourly or full day? Typically we shoot by the Full day and not by the hour.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours? Generally this is not a question as we typically provide up to 10 hours of coverage as part of every wedding package. On very rare occurrences we provide additional coverage for $200/hr. for extended hour(s).
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? If your event will be longer than 8 hours, most are, then "Yes, please" we would appreciate it if you feed us. As for breaks&.We may take a quick break to go to the rest room or get a drink of water, but we're there to shoot and the only time we generally don't shoot is when everyone is eating during the reception; just to be polite.
Do you charge for travel? Not unless the wedding is over 50 miles from our Studio here in Afton Village (I85, Exit 54). We're pretty liberal on that as well. Call us and we'll work something out. We do destination weddings as well and we will travel to many locations in the world you desire. Travel considerations will be included in the wedding package and we expect our clients to reasonably compensate us for travel and lodging.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing? Generally within three weeks your images will be available for in-studio and/or online viewing.
In what format are the initial proofs offered? Every wedding package includes three methods of proof presentation: (1) A Beautiful Image Catalog with a Custom Designed Cover. (2) A password protected online gallery and (3) On DVD. In this way everyone can enjoy their favorite method of presentation. We can also present the proofs in any number of other formats if you have a special request.
How long can the client keep the proofs? They are yours Forever-and-a-Day (Image Catalog and DVD) and are generally posted online for at least six months following the wedding.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos? Included in each wedding package is a Personal Use License. Personal use means non-commercial use of the Media for display on personal websites and computers, or making image prints or video copies for personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos? Yes we do, although we respect your requests. You might see one or more of your images on our website or blog. While we have never had an objection to this, we would certainly be sensitive to our clients wishes if they did not want their images published.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client? Yes, we do provide High Resolution Digital files to all of our clients, generally at the end of the album creation process. We believe that each couple should have these High Resolution Digital Files both for their safekeeping and also for their heritage
Will images be available for viewing online? Yes. Your private, online galleries are available for viewing for approximately 6 months following your wedding.
What kind of albums do you offer? We offer a wide assortment of wedding albums, parent albums, grandparent albums, signature albums, and more. There are a great variety of different products available that can fit within most any budget.
When will the client get the final album? Much depends on your approval process. Once we have your final approval of the design, the album will typically be delivered within 4-6weeks.
