Description: It's ok to admit that you're scared of wedding DJs. The bad tuxes; the tacky "jazz" music during dinner; the fear of the Macarena and the Chicken Dance. Here is the good news: it does not have to be that way. All Ears Mobile DJ will rock your wedding party with music that exudes good taste. Want a Motown mood? Cue up the Marvin Gaye. Looking for some '80s flair? Bring on the Talking Heads and Michael Jackson. Does a '90s theme suit you? Beck and the Pixies are at your command. More modern you say? Hello Outkast and LCD Soundsystem. Of course, there might be an occasion for Bon Jovi and the B-52s. It happens. Sometimes you just can't deny it. And if that's how you want your party rocked, that's A-OK with us. We keep that stuff in a glass case labeled "break in the event of emergency." Most importantly, All Ears Mobile DJ is all about spinning the tunes that YOU want to hear. We specialize in customized playlists, customized reception planning, and customized customization. By the time we get to your wedding, we'll already have your favorite music cued up. And by the time we leave, we'll probably be best friends forever. In addition to deejaying your reception, All Ears DJs can sing sweet love songs as you walk down the aisle. Singing and playing acoustic guitar, they can learn your favorite songs or draw from a catalog of songs ranging from The Beatles to The Lumineers to Ray Lamontagne. They sing real perty and your mom will be bawling like a little baby. All Ears has served KANSAS CITY and LAWRENCE since 2008 and will begin additional service in SAN FRANCISCO & THE GREATER BAY AREA as of November 2013. ABOUT RICHARD GINTOWT Richard Gintowt is a DJ, musician, and music journalist who has performed at more than 200 weddings. He founded All Ears Mobile DJ to offer an alternative to cheesy wedding DJs and share great music with good people who let loose on the dance floor. Richard has written about music for publications like Rolling Stone, The Pitch, The Riverfront Times and Lawrence.com. He served as the music director for KJHK 90.7FM and currently performs with the band Hidden Pictures.

Do you have liability insurance? Yes
Describe your DJ style: I offer a sophisticated and hip alternative to DJs who spin Top 40 and standard wedding fare. My collection and tastes reach far deeper than what's typical, spanning my experiences as a lifelong music lover. I get to know each of my clients - usually over coffee or beers or some fun activity - to get a sense of their tastes and build a program that reflects their personality. As an emcee, you'll find me to be a bit of a goof, but I stay on the ball when it comes to keeping the evening moving along smoothly.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested? Nope - as much we can squeeze in!
What is your usual attire? Tux, suit, or casual. Just depends on the personality of the wedding.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it? Nope. I'll wrangle it up.
How many other DJs do you work with? Me, myself, and I
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for? None
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking? Absolutely! Let's grab a beer!
Can the client submit a do-not-play list? Yep. The last thing I want to do is play a Slash song at Axl Rose's wedding.
Do you bring your own equipment? Affirmative. All I need is a three-pronged outlet, a table, and a weatherproof space.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? Cool disco effect lighting (mirror ball effect, colorful dot patterns, etc)
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? No
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs? Only as necessary. I try to maintain a pretty low-key profile and let the music do the talking.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? Depends on the situation, but rest assured I won't throw down the "Chicken Dance" or "Macarena" unless they're requested.
What is your overtime rate? No charge for additional hours - my package is all-inclusive.
What is the required deposit to secure your services? We ask for a 50% deposit and the remainder by the date of your event.
