Hi, I am an acoustic guitarist/composer & arranger with almost 20 years of professional playing experience in the San Diego area. My dad first showed me how to strum my first chord on his Spanish Guitar when I was 12 years old and I've been hooked on that beautiful sound ever since!
I am a very versatile guitarist and who is comfortable playing many different styles of music from Classical, Flamenco, & Latin Jazz to Jazz standards, Bossa Nova, Mariachi, World Music and beyond. When I perform my original music compositions they have been described as having "exciting guitar passages coupled with enchanting melodies that creates a sound that lingers in the listener's ear long after the performance is over."
As a solo performer, I can either perform totally acoustic or if you would like a more full-bodied sound, I can perform with backing tracks that I record live with my guitar pedal to give the illusion of having more than one person playing at once. Whether I'm playing background ambient music for a corporate event or performing on stage in front of an attentive audience, you can rest assured of my commitment to you to always be punctual, courteous and professional.

What is your band's usual attire?
It depends on the music requested. If my clients want all classical music then black & white is usually appropriate. My Latin band usually dresses more colorfully, and my mariachi band dresses in mariachi style clothes.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
Yes, I also play every week usually at different places around town where my potential clients can hear me play live in various music type settings.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Yes. It's my goal to serve your entertainment needs to the best of my abilities, and I often learn special songs specifically of the bride and grooms choosing. I can play 7+ hours of hits that everyone know in case you would like to hire me for your cocktail or dinner hour as well.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
I like to arrive at the venue at least an hour in advance.
How much space do you usually require?
If I'm playing solo guitar and it is indoors I can fit my gear in a 6x6 stage, or area. Preferably close to an electrical outlet. If I'm outdoors, I usually provide I larger battery powered P.A. system so I need slightly more room.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
Just a table with my CDs and business cards.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
no lighting or disco balls. I provide the use of a battery operated P.A. system which comes with a wireless mic so that it can be used by my clients at no additional charge.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
no, but I can make a few announcements if required.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
If you hire my band to play at your reception then I will have done some investigative work ahead of time to find out which songs your guests would most likely want to dance to. I can also go around to each table and take requests as my band can play pretty much any song on the fly.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I do NOT take any significant breaks. If I am expected to play over two hours I also require a meal, I'm not picky.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes, I bring my iPad with all kinds of music on it that I can connect to my P.A.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?
I have a network of hundreds of quality musicians that I have on call in case of emergencies.
What is your overtime rate?
$75/per musician
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No additional Travel or Lodging expenses required.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
25-50%
