Alda's Magnolia Hill
A historic landmark now becomes a romantic venue for weddings, and a memorable setting for receptions. A 31 acre estate in the heart of Little Rock features a private lake, wooded trails, pool, brides room, groom quarters and complete outdoor kitchen.
Right in the heart of Little Rock, a countryside retreat is ready to take your breath away. The Dr. Morgan Smith Estate, known as Magnolia Hill sits on 31 acres of secluded countryside that includes a three acre lake, rolling lawns, hundred year old oak trees, magnolia trees, fountains, ducks, geese and the most modern conveniences. The Dr. Morgan Smith estate was built in 1918, and sits as a National Landmark of Historic Places. Two age-old Magnolia trees sit atop the hill that he planted. The estate has grown to be called Magnolia Hill.
Today, the warmth of this home is a most convenient place for your wedding and /or reception. A hand-laid stone ceremony area at the water's edge is topped with a stone altar for the waterside ceremony. A White Dove Release is included to end the ceremony. If desired,Magnolia Hill offers their horse and carriage on the grounds and around the lake as part of the ceremony. The reception area atop the hill features a covered breezeway for dancing the night away amid the twinkle lights in the trees. All the seating is furnished. The couple leaves the reception in our 1938 antique Pacard car amid fireworks down the driveway.

Thank you for your interest in historic and romantic, Magnolia Hill. You will find attached some pictures to see the color on our lakeside setting. We have a new stone ceremony area and stone altar right at the waters edge. Unique to our Southern setting is our own horse and wedding carriage to "present" the bride as guests watch from across the lake.
Our Grand Swing is for a unique bridal portrait. At night, the trees are full of twinkle lights for a most romantic setting. Dance the night away on our covered breezeway atop the hill. The groom dresses in the Grooms Quarters, with pool table and big screen TV. The Brides Dressing Room boasts a beautiful triple antique mirror, perfect for photographs. The room overlooks the lake with a wood burning fireplace. For the end of your ceremony, a White Dove Release is available, and to end the night we have a spectacular Fireworks Display Package available. If you need, we can supply you with just the venue or full service catering, floral service , wedding cake, clergy, and our own horse and carriage...whatever suits your needs. Right on the water our stone altar features a lead crystal chandelier. Seating is included for the ceremony. Completely private estate right in the city. A WHite Dove release, horse and carriage are both perfect for this historical venue.

The venue is rented by the day.

Horse and Carriage to present the bride. The groom may come to the altar by canoe if so desired. A white dove release is included. Covered reception area overlooks the lake. Professional grade FIREWORKS Display optional.

yes. We use Catering Creations exclusively, and Central Arkansas Entertainment exclusive for DJ services.

If a stage is required, we can provide with a $200 set up fee.

The rooms are included with the venue rental. Brides dressing room, and Grooms quarters.
