Description: 74th Street Band is the unification of three lifelong friends who have been making music together for over three decades. Randy Clark, Robert Pettycrew and James "Louie" Lewis grew up together in the 74th St. area of Phoenix, AZ. Each an accomplished musician in his own right, as a team they provide a unique blend of rock and blues to fans across the valley. With the addition of a rhythm section consisting of bassist Lyle Engle and drummer Matt O'Brien, 74th Street produces raw, hard driving, classic and southern rock and roll which audiences love to hear. 74th Street's song list includes a mix of cover songs from the 1960's through today and blends them with a mix of danceable original tunes. 74th Street is one of the valley's hottest rock bands!

Frequently Asked Questions for Band
Are you an agency or a band? Band
What is the size of your band? Medium (4-6 musicians)
What music genre does your band play? Classic Rock, Country, Dance, R&B, Rock
Do you have liability insurance? No
What is your band's usual attire? Whatever the occasion dictates. We are as comfortable in suits as we are in jeans and t-shirts!
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs? Certainly! We have live samples on many websites and can deliver CDs of our live performances on request.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know? Absolutely! With enough advance notice we can learn nearly any song your request.
How much time do you usually need for setup? 2 hours max, but many times, less than that.
How much space do you usually require? Larger is always better for a band...the more room to move and entertain your guests the better! Nobody wants to see musicians who just stand there and play! We are comfortable on a stage approximately 12x24, but we can manage on smaller stages as well.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events? We do! It's a 6'x6' diamond shape (ala street sign) of our logo!
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? We can provide a full, scalable PA system to accomodate most any size room and works well for outdoor venues. We also provide stage lighting at no extra cost!
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs? We can emcee your event or provide our PA for your emcee. Whatever you want, we can do.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing? Our guitarists use wireless technology allowing them to leave the stage and play anywhere in the room. They can/will work the crowd, escorting the lovely ladies to the dance floor. Once the ladies are dancing, the men will follow... ;) Our guitarist, Robert, is very good at getting your guests excited to participate and dance using his natural humor and wit.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal? Depending upon the length of the show, we require one or two breaks over a 204 hour period. If the show is 90 mins or less, we play straight through. 4 hours gigs require 2 short breaks. We normally eat before we play, so no food necessary after we start. If the client offers to feed us, we usually accept, but it is not required.
Do you play recorded music during your break? We do! We have thousands of songs on our iPod and we run it through the PA during the breaks so there is no lull in the festivities. If the client has certain music they'd like, we'll be sure to add it if we don't have it already.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan? We have a triple-threat guitar attack which allows us a unique sound above most bands. By the same token, if one of them is unable to attend, the other two can cover the parts without a hitch. Same goes for the Bass player. If he's out, one of the guitarists handles Bass duties. Our drummer is amazing and more difficult to replace but we have had drummer friends sit in on rare occasions if necessary.
What is your overtime rate? We do not charge extra for overtime. We will play until you kick us off the stage!
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? Depending upon the distance, yes, we do charge a minor mileage fee. Please contact us for actual costs.
What is the required deposit to secure your services? Many times, no deposit is required. When a deposit is necessary, it's based upon the total booking fee, but never more than 20%.
