Guests receive a DVD in the mail that plays a live request from the couple, along with he said/she said interviews about how they met. Reel Invitations, 212-427-1946, reelinvitations.com, produces these professional DVDs with several different chapters, like photo montages of the families and wedding party, information about pre- and post- wedding events, directions and lodging details. (Bonus: If guests are connected to the Internet, they can click directly to the hotels’ websites.) All text and diagrams can be printed from the DVD, but just in case Grandma can’t figure out how to work her computer, the company also offers as part of the package custom paper invitations and RSVP cards from their selection of over 60 patterns and 20 colors.
