In Flight
The Idea: Instead of departing in a boxy limo or classic Caddy, why not fly the friendly skies? Shelly Leikar and Chris deZevallos flew themselves to their honeymoon destination in Santa Fe in the groom’s Bonanza A36 the morning after the reception. Both the bride and groom are pilots, so they chose to celebrate their wedding at West Houston airport, where the bride works. As a surprise send-off, friends decorated the plane with congratulatory notes.
Why We Love It: Who wouldn’t feel like a VIP riding off into the sunset? Don’t have a license to fly? Consider chartering a jet or plane for your getaway.
