How to Get a White Smile by the Wedding Day
Continued (page 2 of 2)
Are there temporary fixes a bride or groom can have just for their wedding day?
A quick fix for the bride on her wedding day is to wear a brighter red lipstick, which will make the teeth appear whiter in contrast. Both the bride and groom can also get a spray-on tan so that their teeth will appear whiter against the darker skin tones. Placing vaseline on their teeth will make them glisten more in photographs as well.
Are there any foods or beverages a couple should avoid in the weeks leading up to their wedding to avoid staining their teeth?
Patients should try to limit their consumption of red wine, tea, and coffee, which are the three biggest culprits in staining teeth, in the weeks leading up to their big day. If they must drink that morning cup of java or tea, then they should brush immediately afterward. I also recommend coating their teeth with a drop of Vaseline before drinking red wine as it can help act as a barrier to the staining.
