How I Got My Gown: Southern California
Real brides tell us how they scored their dream dresses

The Bride: Heidi Rasmussen McCormack, a 25-year-old hairdresser
Her Gown: David's Bridal
Her Story: "When I got engaged, I started to look through wedding books and magazines to figure out my favorite dress styles. Then, I went to David's Bridal. I was drawn to a strapless dress with a poufy skirt and a beaded bodice, so I tried it on. Although I really liked it, I thought, That was way too easy! So I went to two other bridal shops to try on dresses, but nothing compared to the way I looked in that first gown.
I went back to David's Bridal and tried on a few more dresses, but I couldn't stop thinking about that first one. So in the end, I wound up buying the very first dress I tried on! It's a David's Bridal Collection white dress with a satin, cuffed bodice, a full tulle skirt and sparkling beads. I liked the way it fit my body, I loved that my flower girls could wear matching dresses, and best of all, the price was great." —Meredith Bodgas
