"Staying at Gaia Hotel and Reserve gave us a real sense of Costa Rican culture," says Christine. "At other resorts you're in a bubble. There, we were able to explore a nearby town as well as take a tour of a national park where we saw lots of wildlife." Bonus: Many perks are included in the room rate. "We ate breakfast every day on our rooftop deck, and it was so relaxing," she says. "The rates were reasonable, too!"
