Tips from travel experts Mr & Mrs Smith

Need to know
As far as getting married, this is one of the easiest islands. To tie the knot on Barbados, you will need to obtain a marriage license. The application must be made in person by both Mr. and Mrs. to be, at the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs. There is no required waiting period or minimum length of stay necessary to be married in Barbados—woohoo! Essential documents include valid return tickets and your birth certificates.

Wow, that's simple. Anything else?
If neither party is a citizen or resident of Barbados, you'll need to pay fees of B$150 cash and a B$25 stamp. If you wanted a wedding in a church, the Roman Catholic Church has additional requirements and a whole raft of extra fees; contact the Bishop of Bridgetown for information.
