The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park, CA
Best Time for Foliage: Late September to late October
Wedding 411: Designed by famed National Park lodge architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood, this circa 1920's hotel doesn't need much in the way of added wedding décor thanks to its grand spaces featuring giant stone fireplaces, stained glass, and hand-stenciled beams. Plus, it's situated in the middle of Yosemite, which means guests will be treated to breathtaking views of the park's iconic sites (Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and Glacier Point) during your celebration. Ceremonies can be held outside on the South Lawn, with California oaks, cottonwood and maple trees providing pops of fall color amongst the pines. Receptions are held in the Ahwahnee Dining Room, where floor-to-ceiling windows framed with stained glass mean you'll still be able to take in the beauty of the surrounding nature, even in when you're inside.
Fees: Wedding packages start at $80 per guest during weekdays, and $110 per guest on weekends, with a 25 guest minimum.Photo: Courtesy of The Ahwahnee Hotel
