"It's all yours!" It's a phrase we like to hear when served dessert, but love to hear when touring potential destination wedding reception sites. Secludedness is next to gorgeousness when it comes to falling for a location: We all want ours to be the only wedding in the world—no randoms wandering through the rehearsal dinner or unfortunate looking sunbathers showing up in the ceremony photos. Have these stranger-free options all to yourself.

The Chanler in Newport, Rhode Island

You'll feel like a character straight out of an Edith Wharton novel as soon as you step inside this nineteenth-century mansion perched above the ocean on Newport's famous Cliff Walk. The cozy-meets-opulent three-story house has 14 guest rooms and six adjacent villas that can be taken over. The coolest part: Each room is distinctly decorated in the style of a specific historic period (Victorian, English Tudor, Regency) or destination (Nantucket, Block Island, Martha's Vineyard), so you can match rooms to your guests' personalities.

Guest activities: In the summer, guests can take a short walk down to popular Easton Beach ("beach butlers" are also available to whisk them away to semi-private Gooseberry Beach). Complimentary pick-up and drop-off services make it easy to check out downtown Newport's waterfront shopping, restaurants, and charming Colonial-era buildings, while a stroll along the Cliff Walk to take in the city's Gilded Era architectural gems is a must.

Wedding 411: Weddings are catered by the hotel's award-winning in-house restaurant, The Spiced Pear. Smaller events can take place on the mansion's ocean-facing outdoor terrace, or set up a tent on the sprawling cliffside lawn to accommodate up to 200.

Fees: In summer months, $20,000 per night with a two night minimum; from November 28th to April 1, $259 per room, per night with a $1,500 food and beverage program, available Sundays through Thursdays
