Art of Animation Resort

This sprawling resort close to Downtown Disney is considered a value property, with rooms that sleep up to six clocking in at under $125 a night. Why stay in a family-size room? You two won't need the pullout bed, but having an extra full bath, kitchenette, and living room is heaven. It's like splurging on a suite anywhere else. Each wing's theme is based on a film—Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, or Cars—with cool sketches from all four hanging in the kaleidoscopic lobby. Though the Finding Nemo section does have the largest pool in all of Walt Disney World, I still prefer the Cars wing. It feels more adult, like a 1950s throwback. Wander the winding pathways, dotted with retro Cars characters, or chill by the small pool, which has kitschy orange cone cabanas. From $113.
