For most brides, it takes a lot of work to find the perfect dress, but Tara Nattini found hers at work. As director of operations for the Anna Maier~Ulla-Maija Couture bridal line, she knew she wanted to wear one of the company's designs down the aisle at her July 2007 wedding to Ted Fiore Jr.
Her boss, Charles Bunstine II, was even there to style the gown as she stood at the back of St. Catherine of Siena Church, where the pair wed, with her father on her arm and her fiancé waiting at the altar. "I was overwhelmed when the doors opened and I saw how packed the church was with all of our family and friends," says Tara.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their 250 guests traveled to The Estate at Florentine Gardens, where the grand ballroom's large windows offered views of trees twinkling with white lights. Pillar candles on the windowsills made the classic color scheme of cream and gold glow. After feasting on the couple's favorite foods, including tomato and mozzarella salad and Chilean sea bass, the crowd moved to the dance floor. But Tara made a surprise costume change (into a lace column dress) before enjoying the 10-piece band. Gold boxes of Godiva chocolates as favors let guests take a taste of the celebration home. —Abbe Wright
Learn from Tara and Ted
Honor Family Ties: Since they both have big families, Tara and Ted asked only relatives (sisters, brothers and siblings-in-law) to be in their 18-person bridal party. Ted's father and brother were his best men.
Give a Sugar High: The groom's notorious sweet tooth inspired the couple's enormous dessert spread. In addition to the wedding cake, chocolate fallout cake and traditional Italian cookies piled high on plates, the reception featured not one but two chocolate fountains.
Star on the Small Screen: The pair created a slideshow, which they screened after the cake cutting. Not only did it document the evolution of their relationship, but it also included a photo of nearly every guest.
