Melanie & Daniel in Brooklyn, NY\\nOne stylish couple hosts a laid-back Labor Day weekend celebration in Prospect Park.\\nMelanie and Daniel wanted their wedding to feel like an end-of-summer barbecue, so they hosted their nuptials at the Picnic House in Prospect Park.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\"We created a casual, stylish, and fun atmosphere,\\" says Melanie, who wore a gown by Melissa Sweet and her grandmother's pearls.\\nDaniel chose a Hugo Boss suit and a Burberry tie.\\nThe bride's twin sister was one of four bridesmaids, who all wore J.Crew dresses.\\nThe groomsmen also sported J.Crew.\\nThe 4 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the groom's college roommate, who is now a pastor.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\"Daniel is a pretty tough guy, but as I was walking down the aisle he started crying,\\" says Melanie. \\"Luckily, I had put a Kleenex in the pocket of my dress for myself—I ended up giving it to him!\\"\\nThe couple worked with designer Gino Reyes to create a custom pattern that appeared on all of the wedding stationery, including the programs.\\nAfter the ceremony, the 175 guests headed to the balcony for cocktail hour. Hors d'oeuvres of mini crab cakes and garlic shrimp on \\"grits cakes\\" were offered, as was a selection of cocktails such as thyme-infused vodka lemonade.\\nGuests enjoyed listening to Organic Grooves, a local group of musicians. \\"I saw one of their members perform in the West 4th Street subway station, and I loved his energy,\\" says Melanie.\\nInside, reception tables were decorated with small vases filled with Queen Anne's lace, cornflowers, hydrangeas, dahlias, and other late-summer blooms. All flowers were by Glen Cunningham.\\nDinner included Southern fare like shrimp and crab étouffée and corn bread. All catering was provided by Sage Events. The design of the wedding cake by Betty Bakery was inspired by Melanie's dress.\\nThe newlyweds chose \\"Love You\\" by Maxwell for their first dance. For the rest of the night, guests danced to a mix that included hip-hop, R&B, and reggae hits spun by Herbert Holler. \\"Our daughter did not stop dancing the whole night,\\" says Melanie.
