A Pride and Prejudice-Inspired Wedding\\nA couple's wedding at a charming historic venue features details inspired by the 2005 film version of Pride and Prejudice.\\nFor her wedding to Ross, Angela wore a second-hand Destinations by Mon Cheri dress that she purchased at I Do I Do Wedding Gowns. \\"I loved that no longer could someone walk into a salon and order the same dress,\\" she says. She accessorized with a custom-dyed veil by Velvet Owl.\\nThe ceremony was held in the gardens at Oatlands Plantation, a venue chosen for its \\"natural beauty and serenity,\\" says the bride.\\nThe historic 19th-century mansion also appealed to the couple's shared love of architecture.\\nThe Cherry Blossom String Quartet provided music for the cocktail hour.\\nRoss wore a boutonniere of sea holly, sweet peas, and ranunculuses on his Ralph Lauren tux.\\nThe bridesmaids wore dresses from David's Bridal and carried bouquets of anemones, sweet peas, ranunculuses, tulips, and hyacinths in shades of lavender and magenta.\\nSmall glass vases of flowers hung from the branches of a \\"wishing tree\\" under which guests could leave notes for the couple.\\nGuests were encouraged to sit wherever they liked during the party. Both food lovers, Angela and Ross decided to offer a laid-back buffet that presented their favorite cuisines: Thai, Italian, and Southern. All catering was by Amphora Catering.\\nThree different styles of centerpieces were created for the tables, including low arrangements of anemones and tulips. All flowers were by Loda Floral Design.\\nA bouquet of coordinating flowers topped the cake, also from Amphora Catering. \\"We wanted something simple, that was easy to cut and share,\\" says the bride.\\nIn lieu of a band or DJ, the couple hooked their iPod up to a rented sound system. The bride created a diverse playlist of songs by artists like Abba, Prince, and Rihanna. The music inspired the bridesmaids to start a conga line that got many guests on their feet.\\n\\"It was important that we choose a venue with a lot of character,\\" says the bride. \\"I envisioned our wedding style as a modern-day version of *Pride and Prejudice*.\\"
