Jennifer and Jack stopped traffic on their wedding day—quite literally. Amid dozens of tourists cheering and snapping pictures, the two stepped out onto Broadway at 42nd Street for an incomparable Times Square photo shoot. "The energy and excitement was so distinctive to New York City," says Jennifer. "You couldn't re-create it anywhere else."
After their Catholic ceremony, the festivities resumed four hours later at the Glen Island Harbour Club, where guests sipped Big Apple Martinis and snacked on sushi, Italian sausage and fresh mozzarella as a steel-drum band produced the cool summertime sound Jennifer had envisioned. After the cocktail hour, they feasted some more—on brie en croute, chateaubriand, brownie soufflé and a marble wedding cake-and the crowd made their way onto the oversize dance floor, the feature that had sold Jennifer on the venue (and proved to be a big hit). When the party eventually began to die down and the cocktail dress– and tuxedo-clad guests trickled out of the waterfront country club, a hot-pretzel vendor made sure no one went home hungry. The late-night snack brought New York City flavor to the day, right until the last minute.
