I am a 2014 bride!!! :) We've chosen October, since that is our favorite month of the year, and the weather will hopefully be beautifully mild.

Congrats to you! I know it probably feels like 2014 is SO far away, but it will be here before we know it. ;)

I'm trying to settle on a date. It's hard though. A 2013 date seems like it's too close for me so that's why I'm thinking 2014.

And Dec. 2014 too. 12/13/14 is going to be the last 'counting up' wedding date until the year 2100 (I think). I think that date has a nice ring to it.

Me! April 6th! Already chose a venue and dress. I graduate college in a year and I want a year to save/SPEND while actually having a real job. I don't feel like its far off at all. I can't imagine planning for like 6 months. It really limits what your options are. I live in an area where venues fill up for Spring at LEAST a year in advance. That only gives me 10 months to get finances in order. Not to mention that so many people have to fly in, advance notice is better. It's gonna be small too but I don't care, I am an over planner I guess! Haha

We chose our date strictly by weather (Texas!) so March, April, May, September, October. Then eliminated March because of my birthday and Spring Break, May because it could be too hot, Setember becausey fiance's birthday. I thought Spring would be nice and my parents anniversary is April 15 so it'll be right around the same time :) One thing someone told me which I never considered is avoid holidays (Spring Break especially) because if you ever want to celebrate your anniversary and go away, it'll cost you 3-4 times as much. That definitely eliminated March for me! Texas is a huge Spring Break state during March.

We are only looking at dates in the spring and fall months too because of the weather. I liked the idea of getting married on 12/13/14 but I know that I would worry too much about how the weather would be that day. We have had snow on Halloween where I live so there would probably be a good chance that we could have bad weather on that date. I decided that I didn't want to chance it.

That seems a little far, but my cousin JUST got engaged last month, so 2014 may very well be a possibility, unless they make it happen next year instead ;-)
