Wedding Favors

Hey Ladies!

I am having a hard time thinking about wedding favors. Granted, my wedding is over a year away and I do not have a set theme. What are some of your favorite wedding favors?? Any fun favor websites?

Thank you ;)

Dear Christina,

Think of edible favors. A couple of years ago I got a tiny jar of homemade strawberry jam made by the bride's grandmother. It was great. I had a nice little treat the next morning with breakfast.

I don't like favors that end up as some kind of kitch cluttering up my house. I don't need nor want more clutter.

I think that edible favors are the best idea too. You could do chocolate, candy, mints, nuts, jam, caramel apples, cookies, fudge........anything you want to do.

A friend of mine once did cookie cutter favors that went with their wedding theme. Theirs were leaves for their fall wedding, but you could make this work lots of ways!

I've heard of doing eco-friendly favors like seeds or little seedlings in pots if you're into that sort of thing. I think that's a fun one!

I like the idea of homemade jam and seedlings is a good idea too....When planning my big day, I plan to incorporate those somehow. :) I am all about the eco friendly wedding theme so something that is basic and true to nature is my avenue :)

It will be my advice to you to ask people who are close to you what needs to be done. Because they know your taste and this way it will be very very easy to manage things properly besides if you ask a stranger about it.

Thanks

I always recommend giving personalized wedding favors. It's your day, your moment, and people will be there to share your celebration, so anything you can do to help them savor that day would be great. I've seen people giving personalized USB thumb drive (256MB, nothing huge) with their names on the thumb drive itself and with pictures and videos of the couple already preloaded on the drive. I've seen similar things done on CD's with customized labels (with a picture of the couple, of course) and quite a few other creative ideas.

People love edible wedding favors. A great option is always chocolates in beautiful little packages, and I also love petite fours (bite sized decorated cakes). These can be personalized with your and your new husband's initials. Look and taste wonderful.
