Actually, the very first time I saw the abbreviation STD on these boards was on a thread about saving money, where people were talking about what they were skipping to save money. I was reading through the posts and people were talking about most of the usual things they'll mention in such a conversation. After a few posts, I got to one that said something very close to the following:

"STDs. I didn't need them before marriage and I don't need them for my wedding."

You can imagine my thoughts.
