Hello, ladies! :]

I'm new here, but hopefully you won't mind me jumping right in..

Here's mine, and my H2B's story:

They say that one day, you'll meet someone, and
suddenly know why it never worked out with anyone else. January 26th,
2001 was my ‘one day'.

B, and I met online. It's funny to think that his father is the whole reason why we're together, but, honestly, it's the truth.

story short, he messaged me (on 'ICQ') one evening in September of 2000 after
reading in my profile that I was at 'So-and-So College' taking Hotel,
and Resort Management--it just so happens that his Dad was/is a
professor at said college, in said program, and he wondered if I had
him as a teacher--I didn't, but my baking teacher (yes, I had to take
baking, lol) was/is one of his younger brothers' godfather. Small
world! All I can say is thank goodness I had changed my career path
from Early Childhood Education, or our chance 'meeting' wouldn't have
happened. Best. Decision. EVER.

It was destiny. ;] But, that was over 8 years ago..

be lying if I said we haven't had our share of
ups-and-downs/obstacles/what-have-you in these passing years, but no
relationship is perfect, right? He waited (im)patiently through 5
months of e-mails/phone calls until I finally went out with him (man,
was he persistent!), we went through a lengthy LDR phase, a surprise
(but, very welcomed) pregnancy, a bought of 'emotional cheating' online
(his doing).. we've stuck with each other through thick, and thin,
though, and that's what matters. He's been there through it all with
me, and I don't think I'll ever be able to convey how thankful I am for
having him in my/our daughter's life.

This being said, as of
right now, we're not engaged.. yet. He had given me a timeline of
December '08, which didn't pan out (financial short-comings.. !@$* you,
economy), but he swears it will happen "this year, for sure", lol. We shall see, we shall see..

Hi! I'm new here too. That's quite the love story! The good thing about your relationship is that you have been through enough life experiences together that you know how you will be once you are married. You both seem like you are in it for the long-haul and care about each other tons. Good luck to you, keep us updated.

Hello and welcome! I met my husband online also...well we knew mutual friends but we first started talking online. We too have had our ups and down as does every couple. Good look on your expected engagement!
