With election just right around the corner, what are your predictions?

I'm hoping Obama wins.  But I'm not making a prediction.

With 24 hour streaming media, the polls are worthless.

So just make sure you go VOTE!!!!

I dont like either candidate but am voting for McCain.  I think Obama has a good chance of winning though. Prop 8 is a big thing in California so I am defintely voting yes on that. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

No predictions from me either but it looks like I'll be cancelling out BenjaminsWife's vote.  I'm voting Obama and NO on 8.

Obama will win.  I think he'll take Virginia and Pennsylvania and Colorado, plus all the states Kerry took in 2004.  That pushes him over 270 electoral votes.

Other predictions:  Dems will pick up more seats in the Senate, but not 60.

as much as it scares me, it sounds/looks like Obama's gonna win... let's just hope all the socialist/communist talk is false then!

DH and I still haven't gotten our voter registration cards yet though and we filled out the forums at the registration office as soon as we got back from our honeymoon...

"let's just hope all the socialist/communist talk is false then!"

I don't understand why socialism is so feared (communism I could understand).

I live in a fairly socialist country, and it works very well for us!

Because most Americans don't know the difference between socialism and communism.

I think Obama will win (even though I finally changed my voter registration out of the stupid I-4 corridor this year and that's all CNN talks about now... grr).

FH finally decided to vote Obama with me. Even though he likes McCain, he feels like he just can't risk McCain dropping dead.

Don't worry Caribbeanbride, you can cancel out Benjaminswife's vote, and then I will add my own vote on top of yours. Yes for Obama, and NO on 8. This "yes on 8" stuff all over southern California is driving me crazy!! Yell

I hope Obama wins. If he doesn't then I will have no hope for this country.

I am voting Obama. I don't have a lot of doubts that Oregon will go blue, we do most of the time. I really want him to win and I think he has a good chance.

I agree though, I don't think Americans really know the difference between socilaism and communism. A fine line between very different things. One that works, and one that doesn't.
