Favorite workout songs

Okay, I just figured this would be fun. Maybe it'll help some of you.

Whenever I'm working out, I need a couple of good songs to listen to, especially when I'm running. It keeps me at a pace and keeps my mind occupied so I'm not saying, "god, when will this be over?"

So let's all post our favorite workout songs. Maybe we can share! Beware, you're about to see how diverse my iPod is. My usual running line-up:

Animals (Nickelback)
Ashes by Now (Lee Ann Womack)
Blue (Eiffel 65)
Caribbean Queen (Billy Ocean)
Don't Call Me "Baby" (Madison Avenue)
Freewill (Rush)
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (Daft Punk)
Hot Stuff (The Pussycat Dolls)
Invincible (Pat Benatar)
Jessie's Girl (Rick Springfield)
Let It Whip (SR-571)
My Baby Loves Me Just the Way That I Am (Martina McBride)
Piece of Me (Britney Spears)
Rag Doll (Aerosmith)
Red Sector A (Rush)
Rock You Like a Hurricane (The Scorpions)
Runaround (Blues Traveler)
Stacy's Mom (Fountains of Wayne)
You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC)

Can't Stop & Piece of Me are on my iPod too!

I've also got Fergie's London Bridge, and lots of stuff by Rachel Stevens, a British female pop singer with lots of good upbeat stuff.

Lilly Allen is another British pop singer with songs that get my butt moving.

"Beautiful Day" by U2, "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson, "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne, "Just A Girl" by No Doubt are all pop songs that work too.

Hip Hop also works for me.  I listen to Eminem's "Lose Yourself" to get pumped up, and Jay Z's "99 Problems" also.  Lupe Fiasco's got some great work-out worthy hip hop as well.

My "Running" list on my iPod is about 70 songs. . .My "elliptical" one is about 180 songs.  Then there's the "Stretch" play list, full of Sting and emo-pop that I listen to for my 10 minutes of stretching during my work outs.

Addicted to Love - Robert Palmer

Oh my gosh!  I just got a mp3 player a few weeks ago, and I've been looking for upbeat songs to add to my player.

I have Come Dancing, The Kinks, some U2, Heart.

But I'm going to check everyones list out & add some to my player!

Good luck, happy planning & happy wedding day

Isn't it!?!?  I just added it to my list last week and I get so bouncy during my workout when that one comes on!

And Beauti - SexyBack is one of my favorites too - my FH says he always knows when it's come on my iPod because apparently I punch the air a little at the "Yeah" parts of the song!

Another great one - "Lady" by Lenny Kravitz

I just added 2 new songs last night - umm, they're awesome.

Feedback - Janet Jackson

and I'm kind of ashamed to admit this, like I was embarrased to buy it off iTunes, but....See You Again - Miley Cyrus (OK, Hannah Montana).

I heard the new Janet Jackson song during a Spinning class last week.  It was catchy, and good to bike along with!  The instructor kept singing along though - through her microphone - which was mildly annoying.

However, it made me jealous that in the middle of a grueling workout, she could still SING.  I can barely TALK when the girls who work at my gym come up to ask how I am doing.
