Anyone waiting until marriage to have...

Is anyone else out there sexually abstinent until marriage? My fiance and I have been together for three years and living together for two, and we have yet to have sexual intercourse. I'm definitely waiting until my wedding night to do the deed! I'm so excited, haha.

I certainly can't speak for anybody, but do your best to keep your promise. FH is the only person I have been "with" and we have said we were going to abstain until our wedding night, and to be honest, we have "fallen" more times than I can count. LOL.

Oh wow! You ladies are hardcore! Laughing I can't imagine abstaining until our wedding night. I give you a lot of credit. It's a great idea & maybe as we get closer something we could try. We have over a year util our wedding & I know there is no way we could wait that long. Good luck!

Good Luck with that, FH and I have been together since high school and have two kids already Embarassed our wedding is November the 17th  so we might stop having sex on Nov. 1st and wait until the night we get married and even that is going to be hard.

Good for you! I think it's something you should be proud of. Before I met FH, waiting until marriage was what I hoped/planned to do as well. However, FH is also the only person I've ever been with and being together for 7 years (we're 23) already would have made that a very long wait! So at least I know when we get married that the only person I'll have been with is my husband. We have considered abstaining for 1-3 months before the wedding. I think it's possible, so I'm sticking too it. Good luck!

WOW ladies...just wow! My fiance and I are sustaining and that's only b/c he'll have spent the majority of our engagement in IRAQ! I was thinking of perhaps withholding the last week or two before the wedding....

FH and I are waiting for our wedding night too!  Too bad for us it is still nearly two years away!  We have both, ahem, done it before in past relationships but decided to wait in this one.  I am actually really glad we are waiting and think it will make our day that much more special.  My friends are totally shocked, so I'm glad there are a few more of us out there!

FH and I are both virgins and, though we can barely keep our hands off eachother sometimes, we are waiting until our wedding night. we're a very affectionate couple though and we talk about everything, he's my best friend and both of us realize that what is most important is God first, and our relationships (with eachother first and then our family and friends). and we recognize that sex is a beautiful part of marraige and we can't wait to share that with eachother for the first time as husband and wife. in a sense sex is the final step in the marraige in "becoming one" physically. Both of us have had opportunities with other people, but we've always stuck to our guns. And heaven knows we've had plenty of opportunities with eachother, and times that the temptation has been very strong but we still manage to keep ourselves pure.

we are.  we've done it before but we think that doing things God's way is the best now.  we haven't for about six or seven months now and we have about a year and a half before we walk down the aisle.  and yes, i'm so excited too!  it makes things that much more special when we wait.

Good for you for waiting.  DH and I didn't.  But the first time we did have sex as a married couple was just as magical as when we first started dating.

I am 20 years old and my FH is 20.  I am a virgin and waiting til marraige.  My FH has been with only 1 girl 1 time and he is respecting my wishes to wait.  I really can't say it has been easy tho.  lol

My fiance and I have been together since we were 15 (we are both 20 now) and we're waiting until we're married. We were each other's first bf/gf and i told him when we started dated @ 15 that I was waiting to marriage. I never would've guessed he'd be the one I'd be marrying years later!!! Anyway, I can't wait to get married and it will be worth the 6.5 year wait that it will be by then...and I know he's definitely with me for me! When I told him no when we were 15 I didn't know he'd still be waiting around years later Tongue outHe agrees with me wanting to wait though and I love it.

Well although we have been married by the JOP we are now getting married by church 10 years later and we were told after we have done our confession we can no longer sleep together, not even in the same bed to prevent temptation. My DH just laughed and said "Well we will have to flip a coin for the couch".
