Does anyone feel like there's a "hole" in my menu somewhere? We are having a buffet dinner (with salad, bread, and wine on the tables while guests wait to be called to the buffet) Here's our menu:
Risotto Cakes w/ wild mushrooms
Filet on pesto crouton w/ horseradish mayo garnish
Scallops wrapped in bacon
Cheese Board w/ hummus, olive & eggplant spread, guacamole,
Cerignola olives, crackers, grilled pita, bread sticks
SaladMixed Greens w/ local apples, goat cheese & cider vinaigrette
Our Own Foccacia
(On tables as guest arrive)
Poached Salmon w/ cucumber scales & lemon dill sauce on the side
Chicken Breast w/ herbs under the skin
Penne w/ Swiss chard, kalamata olives, roasted plum tomatoes, fresh herbs,
Haricot Verts w/ dried cranberries and almonds
Roasted Root Vegetables w/ white truffle oil
(NO BEETS!)what do you think?
Your menu looks pretty well rounded to me. But my father would think you were missing beef and a potato side. As long as you and FH love the menu, I think you are good to go!
