I'm sure there aren't a ton but I can't be the only one. It's getting so close and I would love to know what you're doing now.

I live in Washington state. I'm getting married 1/6/07 in Las Vegas with about 20 guests and then having a reception back home on the 20th with maybe 30 guests. Just a little celebration with the people we love most.

Thanks! It looks like you're planning a DW also. I'd say I'm at a borderline stress level myself and it's growing daily.

I'm really starting to wish that we would have decided to get married at home. This DW is starting to worry me. Like for example, my sisters boyfriends mother it turns out has ownership in the same timeshare we own. Whouda thunk? Now my sister will be our neighbor for the whole week!!! I haven't had the heart to tell my FH yet.

We have a 2 bedroom timeshare. On my wedding night and the following night we will have in our condo his dad, step mom, my son and my sons girlfriend. Now down the hall will be my sister, all week. Still 2 1/2 months for more twists and turns too.

We weren't actually even planning a DW. We were planning a private ceremony, an elopement if you will. A couple people found out and the party was on! I love these people but geez....we'd of married here if we'd all this was going to happen.

Oh well, I am still marrying the man who I have loved for lifetimes. I don't suppose anyone is entitled to more happiness than that. I guess that was just a little greedy venting, and maybe a little more than borderline stress.

I am getting married on January 13th in Chicago (brrrrrr).  I am now working on getting my invitations mailed out & my accessories together.  I just scheduled my trial run for my hair & make-up. I am shopping for bridal party/parent gifts also.  I have my first of two showers this weekend & I'm really excited!

I'm not sure what else I should be doing.  Just taking things day by day.  I'm a bit of a disorganized bride!  We are inviting 440 people!

Wow, 440 is huge, that would scare me.  I'm only expecting between 10 and 20 and that's more than enough for me. I think a winter wedding in Chicago will be beautiful. What colors or theme are you using?

My invitations have been mailed. Since we're going to Vegas I wanted to give folks a little extra time. I have everything planned and everything paid for that had to be reserved. My dress and his attire are still with our seamstresses.

I'm pretty close to done. There's just a few odds and ends left to buy. I've been off work for a couple of months and that has given me all the time I needed to take care of my little wedding.

On January 20th we are having a reception back home. I still need to finalize the menu and then I'm done with that too. My brother and I are doing the food since we are both pretty serious cooks. I don't think there will be more than 30 guests anyway.

I know, I never expected to ever have anything this huge.  I'm a little scared!  I only gave myself 6 months to do it!
Our colors are brown, blue & cream.  Some of my favorite details are that we're getting married at night time & doing the sparklers when we exit the church.  (hopefully our guests won't freeze!) Also, we have a bagpiper escort us down the aisle.  My FH is a Chicago Police officer & our bagpiper is from the Emerald Society, so I think that will be a neat detail.  Our reception is at the country club nearby.  I'm now looking for name card ideas.  Something I'm looking into is using felt snowflakes & pasting names & table numbers in the center.  Then dangling the snowflakes from branches held in vases.  I thought that would be pretty, but alot of work for that many people.

We were doing CD's as favors, but I can't figure out how to burn songs that are copywrited.  I may nix the whole thing (although already spent all that money on the supplies!)

I just can't wait for the honeymoon! I want to find more details to make it personal, but it really is exhausting!

Thanks, this was fun!  This is the first time I've shared all these details on here!

Hi Timnmary,

I am Chicago bride also, getting married on 1/6.

I feel like I have so much to do but I am not getting any closer to being done.  1/6 will be here before I know it, I am feeling a little overwhelmed.

If any of you are interested and doing winter themed weddings & receptions, I just found these adorable tae light candle holders for only $0.95 each.  They would be cute as table decorations or party favors.  They are from Crate & Barrel (www.crateandbarrel.com)

Thanks, I love them. I am going to see if I can get some of them for my at home reception. I very much appreciate your help.
