What is proper here???

Help! I just read that you are only supposed to register for linens and silver to be proper. My FH and I are registered at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Home Depot. We included everything from a rake to dvd's to dog toys. We LOVE our dog, and anyone who knows us knows he is part of the family.

Anyway, is any of this tacky? Pleas help!
