Good or Bad? Different Hues of Same Dress?

Hi Everyone -

I am having an Oct. wedding and have always wanted to do chocolate brown paired with a light pastel (I am not really into the orange/red/yellow thing for fall) I have fallen in love with this Amsale dress for the girls that is a strapless chocolate brown color. However, I also fell in love with it in taupe, a hue lighter. I thought maybe letting the bmaids pick would be nice and it seems that they all would end up doing alternating, 3 in brown, 3 in taupe, which would be perfect. Has anyone done this? We want it to look classy and not cheesy and I can't tell how it would look. If anyone has pictures of different colored dresses please send! Need to get discount and order by the end of Feb! Help!
