Spring wedding lavender decorating ideas

Hello! I will be married in the spring of 2006 and the colors of the wedding will be lavendar and yellow. Does anyone have any creative ideas for decorating? Any flowers that you know of that have worked well? I love lilacs, but I don't know if they will last the whole day. Any decor suggestions?
