I am welcoming any thoughts about having note cards on the table at the reception explaining why there in no alcohol. Let me explain the situation to you: I am a Christian, and believe that since a wedding is a commitment before God, and that God considers drunkeness a sin, that promoting drinking at the reception would not be pleasing to God. Plus, many people attending the wedding are known to get a little carried away with drinking. A friend of mine suggested leaving a cute little note card of a poem or something on the table to explain our reason for not having alcohol. What do you think about it? Is it tacky? Is it a good idea? Help please!
