Cut the wire stem from the silk flower with the wire cutters. Some silk flowers have plastic at the base of the flower connecting them to the stem. If your flower has plastic, remove the stem and cut the plastic connector off of the back. Be careful not to damage the flower.
Flatten the flower. Use your hands to force the flower to lay flat.
