Wonder if brides still have their trains carried?

I have googled and searched on the knot forums but I don't see anything about this subject. I am wondering if brides still have their trains carried? It seems like an antiquated tradition, but I'm considering bringing it back! It would mostly be for practical purposes: I am getting married on the beach in what I consider a long train. The dress I was leaning towards: http://www.inweddingdress.com/style-de282.html , and though I'm not overly concerned about it getting dirty, it might be fun to have my jr bridesmaid or someone help me out with it.
What are your thoughts? Anyone know anything about this?

It is great to have your bridesmaid or someone help you carry the train on the beach. If you prefer, just do it. For beach wedding, the chiffon wedding dress is usually the first choice because the flowing chiffon material adds a special flavor.
