Wedding Theme!!! Any ideas!!: Posted: Apr 25, 2011 7:18 AM; I have 8 months till my big day...its gonna be a winter wedding, so looking for a unique color combination...
Few colors that need to be avoided are Black, yellow, purple.

For some reason, brides think that they have to limit themselves to two colors for their wedding. There are gazillion messages on thie board that say "My colors are X and Y. What can I do with that?"

My response is always to think beyond two colors and consider, instead, a color palette. What group of colors appeal to you?

When I think of a winter wedding, I think of snow white plus the sorts of jewel colors one sees in old stained glass windows. Rich reds (holly red eg), rich blues (emerald eg), ets. Dark, luxurious colors mixed with snow white.

The "white", of course, would be you the bride. Consider stained glass window type colors for everyone else. Go to a paint store, get a bunch of color chips, cut them apart, then mix and match until you have a palette that pleases you. Then, take that palette when you go shopping.
