black & white wedding ideas

Hey Everyone,

My colors for my wedding are going to be black & white (with touches of a dark pink-red). Does anyone have any good ideas for decorating a big space (indoors) for a reception? Also, does anyone know if there is such a thing as being able to "make" a separate floor for the dance floor (so it's easier to differentiate the dancing area)? Also, I was thinking about a black and white candy buffett for favors, do you think that would be a good idea for a July wedding? Any other ideas for favors?

Love the idea, and the first thing I thought of....black and white cookies!! Those would make cute favors, and yummy!

emjulybride--if you're having a big space, you're going to need big arrangements or centerpieces because they'll feel dwarfed in a large open area. to keep costs down, why not incorporate tall white and black painted branches in your arrangements, tucked in with white roses or carnations. Use tall black or clear vases with white flowers. I'll dig up some inspiration for you because I have nothing better to do--and I'm really starting to enjoy this wedding thing! LOL!

I love the look of black and white weddings. There is something about the combination of those two colors that scream elegance and class. I'm sure everything will turn out looking fabulous!

How about bottle openers as favors? I love the practicality of them. It's always nice to give out a favor that your guests will actually take home and use afterwards.

I love this heart shaped bottle stopper. The packaging even works nicely with the black and white theme you want.
