Hey fellow brides!

July 31, 2011 here!

Less than six month countdown ... it will be here before we know it!

So what are you ladies still working on? Now is the time I am thinking about hair and makeup, favors, honeymoon plans, etc =)

I've been gone for so long...time to catch up. :)

Our wedding date is July 2, 2011. Small outdoor ceremony with family and very few close friends.

Then July 3rd flying to Vegas for a week for a honeymoon.

We will be having our reception/party on July 16th. Pig Roast and potluck...VERY CASUAL...

Since this is a second wedding for both of us, and we are blending a family, a celebration is all we wanted.

I've got:

Ceremony Venue (on the water at FH parent's place)
Reception Venue (community center with indoor and outdoor seating)
A photographer (a friend)
Officiant (a friend)
Cake (a friend of a friend)
White Sundress(actually have three...just in case the weight doesn't come off) Two from ebay and one I did buy new.

Working on simple decorations for both ceremony and reception hall. I have ballons, helium tanks, tablecover, white and green tulle, satin bows...found flower girl baskets at the dollar store.

I am sure I am missing something...we are moving in a month and I keep putting stuff in boxes, so I am not sure what all I do have. :)

How is everyone else coming?????

I started making more ribbon roses last night and bought a bouquet holder to try and figure out my bouquet arrangement. I did buy a few silk flowers as filler but will be making all the roses by hand.

Our officiant is booked. I guess next will have to be to hire our photographer and decide if hiring a pianist to play the ceremony will be worth. Considering it will be such a short ceremony most people charge a min 2 hours but at MOST we would need half hour, but they would have about 2 hours travel time.

Just booked our DJ and honeymoon! We are honeymooning at the Secrets St. James resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica! So excited. 140 days left for me =)

What is everyone else up to now?

Well I'm july 30 but have been posting in the Aug thread, seems to have a bit more going on, and it's pretty darn close to August.

Update:
Invitations have gone out, wedding website is done.
Contract for Venue. Need to sign that and send our deposit tomorrow. Finally got ahold of the new kitchen manager and re-discussed the previous arrangements as nothing was passed along to her.
Our honeymoon suite - they are going to let us use the on site house we were going to stay in the "rustic cabin" but this is much nicer. Hopefully the door locks and there are curtains on the windows.
My dress - need to send for alterations next. So expensive, wish I could do it myself.
Officiant - Booked

Still need to do:
Make the rest of the flowers and bouquets
Rent Chair Covers, napkins and whatever else we think we need
Find a cake
Book a photographer
Make a seating chart
Make name markers for the tables
Decide how the overall look of the tables is going to be
Create Ipod playlist
POSSIBLY book a pianist
Get party insurance and liquor license
Figure out how much booze we will need

Oh gosh it feels like I must be forgetting some things. The important stuff is taken care of anyways.
