Ladies and Howard,

WOW, I just got back from DC where I went to the Newseum for the first time. That was one of the best museums I've ever seen. I enjoyed everything.

They had all the Pulitzer Prize winning photographs, which brought back so many memories and emotions. They had the late Tim Russert's office (sob - I adored him) and the cabin where the Unibomber lived in the woods.

The Newseum is highly interactive, with lots of hands-on exhibits. I had a blast.

If you find yourself in DC, try to find time to check it out.

I was invited to the opening and was impressed as well. I know they've changed some things since it opened, but I haven't had a chance to get back yet. My only complaint is the ticket price - but we're awfully spoiled in DC because so many of our museums are free.

Have you been to the Spy Museum as well? That one's a lot of fun, too - especially if you're traveling with kids! We took our 10-year old nephew there last year and he hasn't stopped talking about it since.

DH and I went to DC last summer and out of all the places we saw, the Newseum was hands down our favorite place. I am a journalism junkie anyway so I knew it would be cool, but i was blown away. I loved eveyrthing about it. The 9/11 room was so moving. ANd I loved all the front pages throughout the years.

Plus while we were on the top floor looking at all the Obama inauguration photos, Obama's motorcade drove right down the road past us. So you can't top that!
