Wedding favors are a very sweet thought, but frankly, I'd prefer something consumable. The problem is that most of us simply have too many trinkets in our living spaces, and unless the trinket has a very special meaning to me, it probably wouldn't last long.

My SIL had little bottles of hitchin sauce (hot sauce) with the labels printed with their names, wedding date, etc. Cute, edible, and one per couple.
I'm with the others though that prefer no favors, or edible ones, don't have to be sweets though. I just don't want more knick knacks that I have to find room for.

And, while the hot sauce is cute, once you use it up you can throw it out. Or not, you can not use it and keep the bottle I guess. I only threw that in because I'm sure there are other edible favors that aren't sweets as well.

What about these. They would be edible and functional. Maybe placed in the middle of the china?

This is the table setting I'm going for.

Yep, I'd like something like that. And I'd eat it! Since I love those too, I'd not mind at all if there were spares at the end of the night, either.

Darn, I love those elephants. Especially since we're having the wedding at the zoo! But alas, I think I'll go with the majority vote and select an edible wedding favor. The Ferrero Rocher name holder will probably be the winner.

I love the elephants!

But I do not think they would match the table settings you have selected!

All the best to you!

PS I love the zoo idea

I like the chocolate with name tag favour :D as a lot of PPs have said, edible favours go down better, and you don't need to find them a space afterwards. The name tag you can always put in the album with the pictures you took (if you do that sort of thing, printing pictures, I do :)).

Unless, you'd go for a third option then the elephant.

For ours, we required that the favors be USEFUL. Everyone got white Mini LED keychain flashlights and they loved them. You can put them in organza bags for color. In bulk they were .40c each.

We did it!  Pics of our Wedding Day and Honeymoon in Paris.
