We looked at antique rings but he said....

Boyfriend and I went to an antiques shop to look at rings as my old costume ring keeps slipping off my finger.

The owner of the store showed us a beautiful ring set with diamonds around a gem and my boyfriend picked it up and said "Nah, that's a bit to much like an engagement ring, I don't want to start a trend here."

I didn't say anything, but my thoughts are confused, he has talked about weddings and we drove past a beautiful sandstone church which he said "People getting married have their photos taken there." To which I was like mmm okay that's out of the blue."

What makes it even more confusing is that he is all affectionate with me.

If he doesn't want to buy you an engagement ring, I'm guessing he doesn't want to be engaged right now. Easy peasy.
