Birdcage or long veil?
Posted: Jul 8, 2009 3:07 AM

I had a different dress for my wedding, and got my heart set on wearing a birdcage veil. Now that I've got my eye on this dress, would a birdcage veil still look good? My wedding is going to be pretty casual, evening, outdoors at a home with beautiful gardens and a koi pond with waterfalls. We're loosely doing a bird theme, which makes a birdcage veil more appealing to me. But most of the photos I've seen with this dress have a long veil, and I like it, too. Thoughts?

I think a birdcage veil would be very vintage, which I love. Just try on both and post pics! LOL

I think birdcage veils add a touch of class and a hint of mystery, personally I think it would look fabulous. I have been thinking of the same question and I went birdcage because I like the classic and timeless feel of the look. Also they still have different varieties of veils such as full face or bang coverage or eye level play around a little and have fun!

I love the idea of the birdcage, I think they actually look at lot more modern and you'd be able to show off your shoulders without them being obscured. Sounds gorgeous!

I'm wearing a long veil for the ceremony (my mom's) and then since it's a cathedral length veil that I couldn't wear during the reception, I'm switching to a bird cage veil, so that way I get the best of both worlds!
