Bridesmaids?

I was just wondering how you asked your bridesmaids and maids of honor to be involved in your wedding? I truly enjoy hearing the stories, and would love some ideas

I had put them all my my website on here. I put a picture of me and them and saying that they were either the bridesmaid or maid of honor. So I sent them all the link and told them to look at it and they looked at the page and called me up.."OMG REEEALLY?!?!" hahaha I thought I'd make it different and fun!

Actually. I havent even chosen my bridesmaids only my matron of honor. lol
Which will be my sister, I am going to be her matron of honor in august of this year
and of course she will be mine. But i intend to have my FHs sisters in there along with
a couple of my closest friends. =) i am going to find some cute way to ask them to be
part of my wedding. I work for Hallmark so i thought about sending them inviations
as a cute way to "invite" them to be part of my wedding party. =)

Thanks for sharing your stories!!
I finally figured something out! My best friend and I used to decorate our friends cars on holidays, so I went out tonight and wrote on her truck window "Be my Maid of Honor?" and left a card telling her how much she meant to me and it would be an honor if she would do that for me.
When she called crying & saying YES OF COURSE! I told her that her first duty as maid of honor is to go with me sometime this week so we can decorate and write "Be my Bridesmaid?" on my friends cars!!
She was sooo happy! I'm looking forward to seeing how my bridesmaids react!

I recall being a bridesmaid in a wedding about 2 years ago and I received in the mail a nice personalized box with a bridesmaids manual, a personalized cookie, and some other goodies inside with a card that said 'WIll You B My Bridesmaid?" it was adorable and of course I accepted. Now that I am getting married I plan on doing something similar for the women I've chosen to be in my bridal party :O) I found a great website designhergals.com that specializes in bridesmaid customization, so I plan on picking a few items from that site and making a box for each of my bridesmaids. The site is awesome and lets you make mini versions of your bridesmaids and affix the mini me to a number of items making it uber personal...total box should cost about $20 each...right now I've got around 10 bridesmaids so...that's another story but still a great idea!

Let me know should you want some DIY ideas for the boxes!
