Appetizers at shower???

Appetizers at shower???

I am planning with my parents my bridal shower. Don't ask. I love my attendant, but she's never done this and well, nevermind. Anyway, I was going to have a sit down meal for everyone with dessert, but should I do appetizers in addition? It seems like they will have plenty of food and I can't remember from the showers I went to if we had appetizers in addition to the entree and dessert.
