I just ordered a dress form peridress, the dress style 7171 from eden bridals, i love the dress it was made very well, i was a bit nervousbefore it came so we used thier paypal option, but i am glad that we ordered it from them because it is made better then davids bridal and was still cheaper then them, so i would recammend them, just make sure that you order the right size based on there size chart!!!

Hi All,
I fell in love with a model novias gown that was waaaay out
of my price range (5k) and ordered a facsimile of it from peridress for
185$. It was made to my measurements and does fit well though clearly
they were disapointed with my small chest and put some rather impressive
padding in the bust. It is as close as you could get to the dress in
the designers photograph using only the photo and cheap materials.
Frankly I am impressed that it is as close as it is; I thought it would be much worse. As you can see this would not
have been an easy dress to copy. So if you have a simple dress in mind
it might be worth it but I won't be wearing this on my wedding day.

the real dress:

The dress I received:

Hope that this is helpful
Gertie

If anyone can tell how to actually have these appear in the message let me know as the directions are less than helpful.

I've cross-posted this on a couple forums.

I ordered my dress from Peri Dress on February 24th and it came
yesterday. It looks amazingly similiar to the Christos gown that it is
a knock-off of. It's beautiful, though the hooks for the train will
need reinforcing, I'm pretty sure that's a really common thing among
bridal gowns. The sizing is perfect and it fits amazing. No alterations
will be needed at all. (I'm not wearing heels in the photo and it's fresh out of the box, hence the wrinkles, lol)

Here are some photos:

For
anyone who is whining about the quality of the dress, this dress is
well sewn and although the fabric's aren't exactly the same as the real
gown, the look is very similar and if you're going to be that picky, go
spend the $5k on a dress instead of $150. Don't expect a miracle, and don't nitpick it to death! You ALWAYS get what you pay for in one way or another.

I
never freaked out or tried to contact them. I got an e-mail when my
order was placed, confirmed, and shipped. I just decided to give them
the benefit of the doubt and see what happened. My dress was only $142
so if it didn't go over so well, no harm done. I paid with PayPal so I might have a leg to stand on, too. Just in case. My wedding isn't until
June either. All you last minute Brides freaked out because you can't
contact someone, shame shame! Plan ahead and you won't have to worry
about these things. ;)

NOOOOO!!! Don't order from them! The dresses are so poorly made they cannot be worn!

I ordered a marternity bridesmaid dress a few weeks ago, it arrived in fairly good time but the the dress is not maternity, it has a tiny waist where a non pregnant woman could never fit!!

I'm only 5 months pregnant and couldn't zip it up!

I'm intending to return it but just read in their terms and conditions that they will not refund the shipping costs! The dress hasn't been properly made and now I have to bear the shipping costs! It's not my fault!

And it's not only that, there is a problem with the quality, the seams are not even, it's longer in some parts than others, it's been made quickly and badly by someone who doesn't know how to use a sewing machine, the sewing lines are not straight and the fabric is damaged, there are little threads coming out everywhere! They should be banned from selling any dresses, what a waste of time and money, now I hardly have any time to find another dress!

Avoid!!

I did, and I've also read many of the reviews. Here's what I feel: some people get lucky and find a great cheap knock off. They are happy because they got a unique dress that would look good for a day. They could accept a few flaws and didn't need high end (because we all know we can't get the real thing for those prices).

Others are not so lucky. I am one of those. My mom and I were going to try to make a knock off of the dress I wanted (http://www.michelleroth.com/pgs/maya.php). However, we found peridress and thought, that's much cheaper than we can make it for. I gave it a shot. Service was prompt, but disconcerting since their English (they are based out of China) was poor and they asked me what color I wanted it (a sure sign it was a knock off as they don't offer variations like ivory....just plain white). Their measurements were exact, but the seams were a little crooked (and had some threads sticking out here and there). All this I probably could have lived with or fixed myself. However, the reason I wasn't one of the happy brides is that my "polka dot" dress was covered in cheap silk flower petals (very thickly around the bodice). I hate flower petals or off things hanging off my clothes (which I refer to as weeds). The clean lines of the Maya were one of my favorite parts (along with polka dots which was what really made it ME!) and I wanted a hint of 50's vintage. My dress was plain out tacky....it had potential before the petals (which were glued on by the way), but there was nothing 50's about it. There were so many petals on the top half that I couldn't find my waste. It was an altogether depressing buy.

So my advice is, if you are desperate for a good price and are willing to take a risk....give it a try, there are testimonials from happy girls. If need be, send extra pictures of features you like (the girls who do this and have specialized requests seem to be the ones who come away happiest). Just don't trust the polka dots.

I just ordered a dress from Peridress.com. Here are my thoughts. If you pay $140, don't expect a $1000 dress. There're no free lunch, ladies. However, the dress is very good for its price. The material isn't designer quality, but it is not bad quality. It is decent. I was afraid that the embroidery on my dress would be horrible looking, but they got it pretty dead on. Remember, you're not getting the SAME dress. You're getting a SIMILAR LOOKING one.

There's a reason designer dresses are the way they look. If it is so easy to just recreate it, then the designers would go out of business real fast. They are that expensive and unique for a reason. As for me, I just want something like it. I wasn't being excessively picky. I know what I was getting myself into. I got what I thought I would be happy in and would be willing to pass on or keep. True, it will need a few alterations. But even a designer dress would need that. If you know a good seamstress, she'll add the finishing touches that will make it the way you pretty much want it to be.

I think that for those of us who do not want to spend all our money on the dress that we'll only wear once for a few hours or a day at max, and instead spend the money on our honeymoon or a killer pair of heels, this is a great choice. If you want the EXACT dress (cutting, material, pattern, etc.), then you're getting off trying to find it discounted or used.

Here's a picure of the designer dress i ordered:

Here's the one I got:

I just recieved the dress I ordered from peridress and it is beautiful. The quality is very good it is a very close likeness to the one in the picture I chose. The fabric is of good quality and the hand bead work is beautiful. It was delivered in shorter time than was promised. Even after I made a measuring mistake they it fixed for a $20.00 charge. I had paid extra to have it custom made because my measurements fell between two sizes. It fits perfect!!! I highly recommend them. I will post pictures after the wedding.

I agree, i think that since they're such low numbers, these aren't real people--sorry if that's rude but I just am skeptical. None of them have posted pictures that have said they had a good experience. If you had a good experience, wouldn't you want to show off your dress?

Yeah, I'm a real person, I had a great review, and I posted photos - Thanks.

Here are photos from our actual ceremony/wedding. Don't think I could have asked for a more beautiful dress. The ONLY thing even remotely close to an "issue" I had with it was that although there were hooks for the train, we sewed it on anyway so that we knew it wouldn't come off. I think that's an issue with almost every single bridal dress though.

The only reason I even posted a review here in the first place is because when I originally went to order I searched for feedback from the website because it felt a little sketchy to me, stumbled upon this thred, then ordered anyway. Then when my dress came and I was in love with it I decided to post positive feedback because I felt the company deserved it. They delivered a good product at an amazing price. I don't have a high post count because I a) didn't use this stie for inspiration, thus didn't visit often, b) didn't have time to hang out on forums while I was wedding planning, and c) didn't really get a great community impression, so why would I?

If you could share your wedding photos with me I would greatly appreiciate it. Thank you so much, I am looking forward to hearing from you. -Maddie

Hi Girls,

I was wondering if one of you had ordered the Jasmine Bridal dress H938 (http://www.peridress.com/shop/search.php?mode=search&page=1) from Peridress.

I like the shape of the dress and can't find one I really like in the shops here. When I saw this one online, I did fall in love with it!

Many thanks in advance!

Justine.
